If you want results, you need to put in the work
I can't tell you how many times that creating a LinkedIn profile was advertised as a professional development cure-all.
Need a job after graduation? Create a LinkedIn profile.
Trying to land an internship? Create a LinkedIn profile.
Want to find a mentor? Create a LinkedIn profile.
If I'm being honest, I bought into this "cure-all" they were advertising to me. It wasn't until I wasn't getting any results that I became skeptical.
So, what did I do? I connected with people who were doing something right on the platform. They were posting and receiving engagement. They were asking questions and getting answers. They were offering advice and selling their services. They were promoting themselves and landing jobs.
Sounds pretty good, right? Keep scrolling to see the 12 students and young professionals I connected with who inspired me when first beginning my journey on LinkedIn.
12 people you should be connected with on LinkedIn
I highly encourage you to connect with all of these people and add them to your growing network. In the meantime, feel free to
connect with me on LinkedIn. And remember, you can connect with people who you don't know! The purpose of this platform is centered around professional development, building mutually beneficial relationships, and sharing knowledge. Happy connecting, friends!
